1. Summary
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Cloud Engineer Hub collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The headline: we collect the minimum required to operate your account and deliver purchased products, and your diagnostic logs never leave your browser.
By using our Service, you consent to the practices described below. This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
Account information — When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. Your email is used for login, order receipts, critical product updates, and support replies.
Purchase information — When you buy a product, we record the order ID, product ID, amount, coupon code, payment provider (e.g. Razorpay), and provider's order/payment IDs. We do not store your card number, CVV, or banking credentials — those are handled entirely by the payment gateway.
Test attempt data — Your mock test answers, scores, time spent, and certificate IDs are stored so you can review past attempts. Question content is not personal data.
RCA sessions — If you choose to save a LogLens RCA session, we store the file name, file size, log type, parsed findings, and AI summary (if generated). The raw log file itself is never uploaded or stored on our servers.
Usage data — We collect basic, aggregated analytics such as page views and product page engagement. This data is not linked to your identity.
Communication data — If you email or message us, we keep a copy of the correspondence to resolve your inquiry and improve our support quality.
3. LogLens RCA — Special Notice
LogLens RCA is designed with enterprise security boundaries in mind. When you upload a diagnostic log file:
- The file is read into your browser's memory locally.
- All pattern matching, finding generation, and AI summary logic executes client-side.
- No portion of the raw log is transmitted to our servers or any third-party API.
- Saved sessions store only metadata and findings — never the original file.
You remain solely responsible for ensuring your organization permits the use of cloud-based tooling on the log content, even when no upload occurs.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service and your account.
- Process payments and grant product entitlements.
- Deliver purchased digital products and lifetime updates.
- Send order receipts, security alerts, and (with consent) product announcements.
- Respond to support inquiries and refund requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and Terms violations.
- Comply with legal obligations under Indian law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties under any circumstances.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will:
- Delete your name, email, and password hash within 30 days.
- Anonymize your past orders and test attempts (kept for aggregate analytics).
- Revoke all active sessions immediately.
Server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes, then automatically purged.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (India DPDP Act 2023, EU GDPR, UK GDPR, or California CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@cloudengineerhub.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. We respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- Passwords hashed with PBKDF2-SHA512 (100,000 iterations).
- Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+) for all connections.
- HTTP-only, SameSite session cookies.
- Principle-of-least-privilege access controls on production systems.
- Regular security reviews and dependency patching.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly notifying affected users in the event of a confirmed data breach.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. International Transfers
Cloud Engineer Hub is operated from India. If you access the Service from outside India, your information may be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.
